After hearing his customers’ frustrations with their Augers not lasting very long, FENCEQUIP founder Troy Knudsen got in touch with an Auger manufacturer about building Augers using wear plate steel. They weren't convinced, so Troy went about designing and building his own.

FENCEQUIP use Swedish HARDOX Steel for the flighting as it’s made for extreme abrasion resistance. This means that the lifespan of the Augers are dramatically increased, especially when constantly working and fencing on hard/rocky ground. The shafts are made from High Tensile Steel.
